Adam Zimmerman, Senior Consultant
Adam Zimmerman has 20 years of media relations and public policy experience. He specializes in communications and public relations support for CEOs and other executive-level leaders. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he secured hundreds of interviews and appearances with top national broadcast, streaming, and print outlets, along with numerous op-ed placements, for Dr. Richard Besser, president and CEO of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and former acting director of the CDC; and Dr. Julie Morita, executive vice president of RWJF and former commissioner of the Chicago Department of Public Health.
Adam previously worked as a campaign staffer and legislative aide for Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the current Senate Majority Leader. He also served as a lobbyist for NARAL Pro-Choice America and the American Association of University Women.
Adam lives in Rockville, Maryland, where he has successfully secured passage of landmark smoke-free air laws in the city of Rockville and Montgomery County, along with legislation limiting the sale of e-cigarettes to children. The grandson of Holocaust survivors, he also teaches a seventh grade class on the Holocaust and has been a featured speaker at local and regional remembrance ceremonies. Op-eds he has authored have been published by NBC News, the Washington Post, the Baltimore Sun, Maryland Matters, and The Hill. He has been interviewed on outlets such as NBC News and SiriusXM radio. In addition to his advocacy work, he also volunteers as a youth soccer coach.
A New York native, Adam graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Stony Brook University, where he majored in history and minored in political science. He and his wife, Julia, have two wonderful children, Ella and Aiden.
